The average monthly labor pension in Azerbaijan is projected to reach 531 manat ($312.3) in 2025, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev said today at a joint meeting of two committees of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Olaylar reports.
Minister Babayev highlighted that in 2019, the average labor pension amounted to just 264 manat ($155.2).
"We have managed to nearly double the average labor pension over the past five years. If we look specifically at pensions for those of retirement age, the figure is even higher.
By 2026, the average labor pension is expected to rise to 569 manat ($334.7), reflecting an 8 percent increase compared to the current year. In comparison to 2019, when the average pension was 292 manat ($171.7)," he added.
