The US has not changed its position regarding the restrictions on striking deep into the Russian territory with the weapons provided by it. Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder announced this at a press briefing Tuesday.
"I don't have any announcements to make in terms of any change in policy," Ryder said.
He recalled that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will have the opportunity to meet with Ukrainian and international partners later this week at the US Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
"Where we'll be very focused on, again, better understanding Ukraine's security assistance needs and how best to meet those," Ryder said.
"But in terms of any changes to our policy, I'm — I’m not going to have anything to provide. Again, there has been no changes," added the Pentagon representative.
