Armenia MFA comments on 3+3 meeting to be held in Turkey

Mehdi Sobhani, Iran's ambassador to Armenia, announced Friday that a 3+3-format meeting of foreign ministers will be held in Turkey and that its date has been decided.
In this regard, Ani Badalyan, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia told Armenpress that they inform about the meetings of FM Ararat Mirzoyan in due time.
"We inform about the meetings with the participation of the Foreign Minister in due time; the same applies to the given platform also," Badalyan said. She did not provide any other details.
Earlier it became known that the aforesaid 3+3 meeting will be held at the level of foreign ministers. And this time the venue of this talk will be Turkey.
The first meeting of the 3+3 consultation platform was held in December 2021. The deputy foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, and Turkey had participated in it. Georgia, however, had refused to attend this meeting.
The second meeting of this platform was held in October 2023. It was held in Tehran, the capital of Iran, at the level of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, and Turkey. Georgia did not attend this meeting either.
