Gas transportation through Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline increased by 3%

In January-October of the current year, 32,832.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, and a decrease of 0.4% was observed compared to the indicator of the previous year, Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

Noted that 57.4% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.

Through this pipeline, gas produced in the "Shahdeniz" gas-condensate field is exported.

Thus, during the reporting period, 18,832 million cubic meters of gas were transferred through this pipeline (a 3.4% increase).

It should be recalled that last year 39,806.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, and a 1.4% increase was observed compared to the previous year. 54.8% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 21,800.1 million cubic meters of gas were transferred through this pipeline (a 4.8% increase compared to the indicator of 2022).
