Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Chilean Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Juan Carlos Muñoz, who is visiting Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports.
Meanwhile, it was noted that cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the International Transport Forum was discussed at the meeting.
At the same time, the sides exchanged views on identifying priorities in connection with the forum, which Azerbaijan will chair next year, and studied Chile's experience in this direction.
Last year, a decision was made to apply the requirements of the International Transport Forum's Quality Charter for International Road Transport in Azerbaijan. Thus, it was recognized that the regulation and management of international transportation in Azerbaijan are organized according to the highest international requirements.
Azerbaijan joined the Protocol of the European Conference of Transport Ministers under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev on November 27, 1998.
Through multilateral and multiple annual permits issued by the International Transport Forum, freight transport operators engaged in international activities and registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan are continuously operating in 43 European countries.
