Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to lead the financial and accounting operations of our large-scale organization. This critical role involves managing a team across the head office and branches, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and optimizing accounting processes.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership abilities, in-depth expertise in accounting and tax regulations, and proficiency in modern accounting systems, particularly PMS.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Supervise an 18-member accounting team at the head office and coordinate with branch chief accountants.
- Ensure compliance with all local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory filings.
- Optimize and maintain accounting processes and systems (PMS proficiency is essential).
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Develop and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard the organization’s assets.
- Manage audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Collaborate with management on strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a senior accounting role in a large organization.
- Extensive knowledge of Azerbaijani tax laws, accounting standards, and financial management principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with mandatory experience in PMS.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA, CPA, or similar certifications are an advantage.
- Fluency in Azerbaijani is required; Russian and English are desirable.
