US billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk thinks that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will replace piloted fighter jets in future armed conflicts, APA reports citing TASS.
"Future wars are all about drones & hypersonic missiles. Fighter jets piloted by humans will be destroyed very quickly," he wrote on the X social network.
At the end of September, Musk predicted battles between "drone swarms" in the future. Additionally, earlier, he criticized fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets saying they are cost-prohibitive and outdated due to the emergence of unmanned technologies.
