The Western Azerbaijan Community denounced the slanderous statement of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, Olaylar informs.
In a statement released today, the community deemed the recent action by the US as interfering in Azerbaijanchr("39")s internal affairs.
"We would like to bring to the attention of the US Embassy, which tries to explain the smear campaign against Azerbaijan with alleged problems in the field of freedom of speech in our country, that the real reason for these pressures is Azerbaijanchr("39")s restoration of its territorial integrity and sovereignty," reads the statement.
"The current US administration has lost its right to talk about human rights by pursuing a policy of ethnic and religious discrimination against Azerbaijanis, taking a selective approach to countrieschr("39") territorial integrity and sovereignty, and supporting Armeniachr("39")s policy of deportation, ethnic cleansing, aggression, and occupation. We, as the Western Azerbaijan Community, constantly feel this unfair approach and discrimination.
Moreover, the US Embassychr("39")s aggressive rhetoric in response to not only slight criticism but even ordinary questions shows their disloyalty to chr("39")freedom of speechchr("39") and chr("39")diversity of opinionchr("39") which they pompously talk about whether appropriate or not.
We demand that the current US administration end its interference in our countrychr("39")s internal affairs, its discrimination against our people, and its misuse of human rights for political purposes," the statement emphasized.
