Deputy heads of the Interior Ministries of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed development of cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, Major General Bekmurod Abdullaev, and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Major General of Police Oktayr Urmambetov, held talks.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening cooperation in combating crime, extremism, and drug trafficking, as well as other relevant issues of mutual interest.
The parties expressed their interest in deepening collaboration in the fight against crime.
Oktayr Urmambetov emphasized that advances in modern scientific and technological achievements lead to the emergence of new types of crime committed using innovative technologies and the internet. He added that this increases the scale of transnational crime and poses significant threats to the safety of citizens and their property.
In turn, Bekmurod Abdullaev confirmed his readiness for constructive cooperation in countering emerging threats.
The delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also discussed the importance of utilizing modern innovative technologies and exchanging experiences to effectively combat international crime.
