According to the latest data, as of October 1 of this year, the number of hired workers in Azerbaijan amounted to 1 million 719.8 thousand people.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, as of October 1, the number of employment contracts in Azerbaijan reached 1 million 791 thousand.
As can be seen from the published data, the number of employment contracts is 4% (71 thousand) higher than the number of employees.
It should be noted that Article 3 of the Labor Code of the Azerbaijan Republic states that an employee is an individual who works at the relevant workplace by concluding a written employment agreement (contract) with the employer individually. In addition, the information published by the State Statistics Committee also mentions that employees are persons working under an employment contract.
This also means that 71,000 employees work two jobs at the same time.
According to the latest data, as of October 1 of this year, there were 287.4 thousand unemployed in Azerbaijan.
It is interesting that with 287 thousand unemployed in the country, 71 thousand people work simultaneously in 2 jobs.
