Women victims of domestic violence – Azerbaijan is a “leader” in the region


According to the Women's Peace and Security Index, prepared by the famous Georgetown University in the USA, Azerbaijan ranks 34th in the world in terms of the number of women killed as a result of domestic violence.

reports according to the Women's Peace and Security Index, the number of deaths of women per 100 thousand people in Azerbaijan is 1.56.
Based on this, Azerbaijan's indicator was assessed as 0.63 (between 0-1).
In terms of the number of women killed as a result of domestic violence, Azerbaijan has the same figures as Burkina Faso, Egypt, Comoros, Myanmar and Lebanon.
The worst result was recorded in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan's index in the Women's Peace and Security Index was 0.28.
