President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order on the conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan into active military service and the transfer of servicemen from active military duty to reserve units from January 1-30 2025, APA reports.
Under the Order, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 2007 who have reached the age of 18 on the day of conscription (including that day as well), as well as those born between 1990 and 2006 and are up to 35 years old, who have not served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan for mandatory active military service, who do not have the right to deferment from conscription, or who have not been exempted from conscription, will be called up for mandatory active military service from January 1 to 30, 2025.
Military personnel who have completed their mandatory active military service will be released to the reserve from January 1 to 30, 2025.
