"Vulnerable countries left the room during climate change negotiations because they disagreed with the proposed financial support amount," climate change human rights defender Rebecca Thissen said, APA reports.
She expressed regret that some countries in the same category did not show sufficient sensitivity to the issue: "They said that they were not at all inclined to agree with the text. Since we learned this yesterday, we repeatedly asked if this position was a joke or not. Climate change is not being given proper attention. However, all parties should show a very sensitive approach to this issue. But we did not see this in the current version of the text, which is why we left the room."
