Putin to conduct state visit to Kazakhstan

"During the state visit, talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will be held. The discussions will focus on the future of Russia-Kazakhstan relations, strategic partnership, and cooperation in various areas, also taking into account this year’s CSTO chairmanship by Kazakhstan and Russia’s leadership of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and BRICS, the Kremlin said. "Following the talks, a joint declaration by the leaders of both countries, along with several intergovernmental and commercial agreements, will be signed."

It is also reported that Putin and Tokayev will address the participants of the 20th plenary session of the Forum of Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation, which is scheduled to take place in Ufa, via video link.

The Russian president’s press service stated that during the Collective Security Council meeting, "the results of cooperation within the organization over the current year will be summed up, and the main areas of further development of the collective security system will be determined." Additionally, an exchange of views on relevant global and regional issues will take place.
