"Türkiye will complete the project of clearing its southern borders from the threat of terrorist organizations step by step with a security belt stretching from the Mediterranean to the Iranian border," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during his speech at his party's parliamentary meeting, APA's Türkiye correspondent reports.
He also noted that new steps will be taken in both diplomatic and military fields in this direction within the coming year.
Turkish President further expressed that Ankara supports ceasefire initiatives in Gaza and is pleased with the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
