2 purchases of Baku State University (BSU) have been completed.
Yeniavaz.com reports that both purchases were made using the single-source procurement method.
Based on the results of the purchase, Euroservise LLC (TIN - 1503047971) will build a gas pipeline to the new boiler house of the university in the period from December 19, 2023 to April 30, 2024 and will receive in return 76 thousand 590 manats 44 kopecks.
TFM-Smart Project LLC (TIN – 6001055841) will prepare additions to the existing design and estimate documentation related to the overhaul of educational building No. 2 and will receive in return 135 million 169 thousand manats.
It is noteworthy that the tender for the overhaul of building No. 2 took place at the beginning of this year. The winner of the tender was JSC “Vest-LTD” (TIN – 2100393871). The winning company was allocated 10 million 950 thousand 396 manats and 33 kopecks. According to the terms of the competition, major repairs in building No. 2 were to be completed by December 30 of this year.
On September 8, information appeared in the media that major repairs in building No. 2 were being completed. All floors of the building, from the basement to the roof, auditoriums, administrative offices, laboratories, bathrooms, elevators, were rebuilt in accordance with modern standards, all communications and the fire extinguishing system were updated. It was noted that the boiler and drainage systems have been updated.
It is interesting that, although the information published in September stated that the major repairs in building No. 2 were close to completion, the BSU is preparing new design and estimate documentation in the amount of 135 thousand manats related to the major repairs 3 months later - in December. At the same time, the construction of a new gas pipeline to the new boiler house is carried out 3 months after the building is put into operation - during the winter season. Both purchases were made through single source procurement.
For information, on December 18, a teacher at Baku State University, Araz Aliyev, reported on his social network that it had been cold in the classrooms of the educational institution for a week, and the heating system was not working.
5 days after this publication, Araz Aliyev was detained by the police and found guilty under Article 510 (minor hooliganism) of the Code of Administrative Offenses and sentenced to 25 days of administrative arrest.
