According to data at the end of last year, among 23 banks operating in Azerbaijan, Kapital Bank CJSC was the bank that issued the largest number of consumer loans.
Yeniavaz.com reports that as of January 1, 2024, the volume of consumer loans issued by Kapital Bank amounted to 2 billion 353.6 million manat.
The volume of consumer loans issued by Kapital Bank increased by 9.6% in the last quarter of last year.
Second place was taken by International Bank OJSC with 1 billion 370.1 million manats. Consumer loans from the state bank IBA have grown by 7.2% over the past 3 months.
Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan OJSC became the bank that provided the smallest volume of consumer loans. The volume of consumer loans from this bank amounted to 2.8 million manats.
OJSC Premium Bank has become the bank that has increased the volume of consumer loans the most over the past 3 months. Consumer loans from Premium Bank, owned by family members (wife) of former AZAL President Jahangir Askerov, more than doubled in the 4th quarter of last year to 19.2 million manats.
