Every appeal that is submitted in connection with the parliamentary elections is evaluated in accordance with the law, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said at today's meeting, AzVision.az reports.
According to him, the parliamentary elections held on September 1 hit the nail on the head with impressive results.
The CEC's head also noted that some voting locations were the subject of appeals about infractions
“In the event that we observe circumstances that influence the outcome of the vote, we will implement significant measures. In accordance with the law, we evaluate all appeals that are submitted. There are no violations that could potentially impact the aggregate results, which is reassuring,” he noted.
To note, on September 1, snap parliamentary elections were held in Azerbaijan.
A total of 112,749 local observers were registered to observe the elections. More than 65,000 of them were representatives of political parties. The number of registered international observers was 598, representing 51 organizations and 69 countries.
Out of 990 registered candidates in the parliamentary elections, 305 are representatives of 25 political parties. Even though 371 candidates were affiliated with political parties, their respective parties did not nominate them. A total of 676 candidates were affiliated with a political party.
