Azerbaijan sells electricity to Russia at 6 kopecks, and to Georgia at 8.7 kopecks
In the first 7 months of this year, 941 million kWh of electricity were exported from Azerbaijan to foreign countries. Yeniavaz.com reports by with reference to published official information, Azerbaijan sold electricity to 4 countries - Turkey, Georgia, Iran and Russia. The average customs value of 1 kWh of electricity sold to these countries was: - Georgia - 8.7 kopecks (437 million kWh); - Turkey - 10.8 kopecks (420 million kWh); - Russia - 6 kopecks (63.6 million kWh); - Iran - 4.8 kopecks (20.6 million kWh). It should also be noted that the price of electricity on the domestic market is 8 (up to 200 kW/h), 9 (for 200-300 kW/h) and 13 kopecks (more than 300 kW/h). This means that the average electricity tariff in the country is 10 kopecks.
