Over the nine months of this year, 63 thousand 684 tons of AI-95 gasoline were imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries.
Yeniavaz.com reports with reference to published official data, the customs value of imported gasoline amounted to 60 million 306 thousand dollars.
If we take into account that 1 ton of gasoline is equal to 1310 liters, then the customs value of 1 liter of gasoline imported into the country is 72 cents or 1.22 manats when calculated at the current exchange rate ($1/1.7 manats).
For information, in the same period last year, the customs value of 1 liter of AI-95 gasoline imported into the country was 78 cents or 1.33 manats. As can be seen from the published official data, the customs value of 1 liter of imported AI-95 gasoline has decreased by 8.3% over the past year.
It should also be noted that although the customs value of AI-95 gasoline imported from abroad has decreased compared to last year, there have been no changes in the price of gasoline sold on the domestic market. Like last year, 1 liter of AI-95 gasoline is sold at gas stations for 2 manats this year.
In July last year, when the price of AI-95 gasoline increased in the country, the reason for this was an increase in the import cost of the product. However, it is interesting that this year, although the cost of importing the product has decreased, the selling price has not decreased.
