Armenia has agreed in principle to the opening of the Russian Consulate General in Gafan, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said as answering the question regarding the timing of the opening of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the city of Gafan, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, Russia has asked the Armenian Foreign Ministry to recognize its consul in the Syunik region: "We are waiting for a response accordingly. We have commented on this issue many times. Unfortunately, the situation has not changed. The question about the reason for the Armenian side's delay in responding should not be addressed to Moscow."
