Tuition fees at state universities in Uzbekistan to increase by an average of 15%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In the 2024/2025 academic year, the cost of tuition on a contract basis at state universities in Uzbekistan will increase by an average of 15%. This information comes from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations.
Specifically, the fee for the "Pedagogy" program, which was previously considered the most affordable, will increase from 6,412,610 soums to 7,400,000 soums (+15.4%).
For the "Law" program, which is the most expensive, the tuition fee will rise from 9.8 million soums to 11.25 million soums (+14.7%). The cost for the "Economics" program will increase from 9.13 million soums to 10.5 million soums (+11.5%).
Over the past four years, the basic cost of contracts has remained stable, except for changes due to adjustments in the basic calculation value.
State universities with financial independence have the right to independently set tuition and contract fees for students enrolling in this academic year.
