The White House has prepared a list of prisoners in the United States whose release may be of interest to the radical Palestinian movement Hamas to exchange them for American hostages held in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by NBC News with reference to persons with knowledge of the discussions on this issue.According to them, the families of American hostages held by Hamas have called on the US administration to “seriously consider a unilateral deal with the terrorist organization to secure the release of their loved ones.” And such an exchange option without Israeli participation is currently being discussed in the White House, where it is still considered unlikely, the TV channel reported.Administration officials have assured the hostages' relatives that they will consider “all options,” but a deal with Hamas that includes Israel remains, in their view, the best approach, the report said.
