Hilmi Sen, the Mayor of Baliseyh district of Kirikkale province, Türkiye, passed away in the hospital after being subjected to a gun attack, Olaylar informs via Turkish media.

Sen, who was seriously injured, was taken to Baliseyh State Hospital. It was learned that 3 people who were with the mayor were also injured in the attack.

A suspect was detained with a weapon in connection with the incident. He was identified as a relative of the mayor.
