Georgian riot police dispersed the remaining protesters on Rustaveli Avenue in the capital city of Tbilisi, according to a APA reporter at the scene.
The police began breaking up the crowd unexpectedly. They ran after people and detained them, using force.
The anti-government rally in front of the parliament building started on Friday. It later turned into clashes with the police, even as the Interior Ministry repeatedly warned protesters not to break the law. Ultimately, it was decided to disperse the protest.
