Vugar Valeh oglu Mustafayev has been appointed Minister of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

For information, Vugar Mustafayev was born in Baku in 1986. In 2004, he entered the specialty “Engineering Economics and Management - Management” at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from which he graduated with honors in 2008. In 2010-2013, he graduated from the Khazar University’s master’s program in Business Management (MBA) with a specialty in Finance and Credit.
In addition to being a member of the international association Institute of Internal Auditors, since 2016 he has received the “Certified Internal Auditor” (CIA) - International Internal Auditor qualification, and since 2020 he has the international “IBM Data Science Specialization” - Data Science Qualification.
He served in military unit No. N of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
During his undergraduate studies, Vugar Mustafayev worked as a training coordinator and finance and accounting specialist in various companies in 2006-2008.
In 2009-2012, he worked as a senior specialist at the international audit company Ernst & Young CIS B.V., operating in Azerbaijan. In 2012-2014, he held the position of Director of the Internal Audit Department of Azerfon LLC. Since 2014, he has worked in various management positions at PASHA Holding LLC and related companies. In 2014, he was appointed to the position of Advisor to the Executive Director of PASHA Holding LLC. Since 2014, he has been working as Chairman of the Audit Commission of PASHA Insurance OJSC and PASHA Life Insurance OJSC. In 2021, he was appointed head of the representative office of PASHA Holding LLC in the Republic of Turkey, as well as chairman of the supervisory board of the Istanbul company PDT və Gayrımenkul A. Ş.
